NCA RECRUITING RESOURCES
Build a coach-ready
A practical starting point for high school student-athletes and families.
Start with accurate information
Keep your name, school, city and state, graduation year, positions, current measurements, and contact information together. Date your updates and confirm statistics before sharing them.
Make your film easy to find
Provide a working Hudl or YouTube link. Identify yourself clearly in each clip and put representative plays near the beginning. Keep game film available when a coach asks for more context.
Keep academics organized
Track your current GPA, coursework, and academic interests. Share transcripts directly with the appropriate college contact rather than publishing them on social media. Check requirements with the college and the applicable governing body.
Write a focused introduction
Introduce yourself with your graduation year, position, school, and why the program interests you. Include your profile and film links, then ask a clear question about the next step. Use the program’s official staff directory to confirm the contact.
Track your next steps
Keep a record of questionnaires, messages, replies, and follow-up dates. Update film as the season progresses and involve your family and high school coach in decisions.
