Golden Bears Team Highlights
Watch on YouTube →A Proud Tradition. A New Chapter.
Temecula Valley football carries a legacy built by generations of players, coaches and families. In 2026, the Golden Bears are giving their community another reason to be proud.
Under Head Coach Joel Nichols and his staff, the Bears have opened the season 6–0, most recently defeating previously unbeaten Santiago High School, 23–6. From narrow victories to convincing wins, Temecula Valley has found ways to compete and keep its undefeated season moving forward.
That success builds on a proud history: CIF Southern Section championships in 1990, 1991 and 2019, a 2019 Southwestern League championship, and CIF finals appearances in 1993 and 2021. The program’s 2018 CIF Academic Championship also reflects achievement beyond the field.
Seniors Making Their Final Season Count
For the senior class, this season brings opportunities to leave a lasting mark while preparing for life after high school.
Noah Murillo holds college football offers from the University of La Verne, the University of Puget Sound and Grove City College. Fellow senior Anthony Santos has received an offer from Benedictine Football. These milestones deserve recognition as both athletes continue contributing to the Bears’ success.
Senior Colin Elia provided another memorable moment against Santiago, connecting on a 49-yard field goal in the Bears’ sixth consecutive victory. His performance highlights the importance of special teams alongside the offense and defense.
Leaders Behind the 6–0 Start
The Bears’ undefeated start reflects contributions across the roster, including offensive playmaker Deven Krause.
| Player | Reported statistical highlight |
|---|---|
| Deven Krause | Team-leading 98.0 rushing yards per game and 6 rushing touchdowns |
| Caden Chrisman | 61.9% completion rate, 61.8 rushing yards per game and 3 rushing touchdowns |
| Graham Allen | Team-leading 15.2 receiving yards per game |
| Keaton Cadrez | Team-leading 7.6 tackles per game |
| Chadd Mitchell | 7.4 tackles per game and 2 interceptions |
| Noah Murillo | 5.6 tackles per game |
| Aaron Patton | 2 interceptions, tied with Mitchell for the team lead |
| Cash Ramirez | 3 rushing touchdowns |
These are reported statistics from MaxPreps with a listed update of October 2. Individual game entries may still be incomplete.
Finishing Strong and Building for Next Year
For Class of 2028 teammates Caden Chrisman and Deven Krause, the priority is helping this team finish strong. Their varsity experience also provides a foundation for next season.
Chrisman has opportunities to sharpen his decision-making and grow in his command of the offense. Krause’s contributions as a runner and receiver give him opportunities to refine his skills and strengthen his connection with his quarterback. The work they put in now can prepare both players to return with greater confidence and take on more responsibility.
That development fits Coach Nichols’ emphasis on character, accountability and resilience—preparing athletes to succeed in competition, in the classroom and beyond high school.
At Next Chapter Athletics, we’re proud to feature Temecula Valley and recognize the players, coaching staff and families behind this undefeated start. The seniors are shaping their final chapter as Golden Bears, returning players are building for the future, and the entire team has an opportunity to make this season one to remember.
Honor the tradition. Embrace the opportunity. Build the future. Go Bears!
